Our projects

A large financial industrial group

The client’s task was investigation of assets potentially belonging to the object of search, his family members and trustees. The object had been providing personal guarantees for loans taken by his company. After receiving court decisions and beginning of enforcement proceedings, the object refused to repay debts and initiated personal bankruptcy and bankruptcy of the company.

In the framework of the agreement, we examined information provided in public sources familiar with the debtor's business circle. Our research covered legal entity registers, land and real estate registries, corporate, court and other databases, as well as media archives and various social networks in Europe, Israel, the USA, the UAE, and Russia.

In the course of our investigation we found out that the object did not have any property or valuable assets in Russia. However, we found several companies and objects of property linked to his trustee and relatives in Israel, the USA, Spain, and Russia. We also established that the object’s bankruptcy had been deliberate and his business may still be operating as a different legal entity with a fictitious shareholder.

We initiated legal action to enforce the decisions of Russian courts in the United States and Israel.

The motion of the Russian creditor was granted, and the courts recognized and enforced the decisions of the Russian courts against the debtor in the United States and Israel.

A Russian Bank

A former bank shareholder, whose license had been revoked, was transferring assets abroad. Our experts conducted a thorough investigation of data from open sources and did a social networks research in order to determine the countries visited by the object and where the assets could potentially be located.

At the same time, we contacted former business partners and employees of the object in order to establish assets location and the circle of his relatives and trustees.

In the course of the investigation we detected assets belonging to the object and his relatives, as well as assets potentially controlled through trustees, including:

  • real estate, vehicles, corporate assets and shares in companies;
  • a villa in Saint Tropez, France;
  • a house in Jurmala, Latvia;
  • warehouses in the UK.

We initiated legal actions for execution of decisions of Russian courts on the territory of these states. The Russian bank and the debtor entered into an amicable agreement with a settlement for repayment of 2/3 of the debt.

International law firm in Turkey

A law firm hired us to establish the current location of a Turkish citizen and his family members and to investigate the assets belonging to him, his relatives and trustees. Our investigation covered the UK, USA, Germany, Russia, and Azerbaijan.

In the course of the investigation we detected signs of the object’s presence in Miami, USA, where he was living with his family as an applicant for political asylum. At the time discovery, his immigration request had not been granted, and he had concealed from the American authorities the economic claims against him in Turkey. We found out that he did not own the property, renting a house in one of the fashionable districts of Miami (Bal Harbour). At the same time, to finance his expenses, he used a card linked to one of the corporate accounts in the offshore bank of Santa Lucia.

Based on the data obtained and after negotiations, we managed to work out an effective strategy for voluntary debt repayment.
